New Freestanding Frame for AL Systems

Our new simplified freestanding structure provides many advantages over conventional frames with cross ties, including:

- Lower material costs

- Lower shipping costs

- Simple, fast, economical installation

The new frame consists only of four upright columns. The crane runway is clamped onto the top of the frame at the corners using standard AL clamps, and the bridge and lifting devices are then hung from the runway.

The new frame can be used with single and multiple cell AL Systems. 12 and 15 foot heights are available.

EMH Expands Manufacturing Facility

The additional space has increased our floor space by over 60 per cent and will allow us to offer more efficient production and improved delivery time.

AL System and VL-Lift Handle Doors at Signature

Signature Door of Altoona, PA makes high quality doors for the residential market.

Aligning the doors to secure them by the hinges was a strenuous and time consuming process when performed manually, and extreme care was needed to avoid damage to the product.

This became even more of an issue when Signature began manufacturing entryways to meet the hurricane codes of Miami, Dade County and Florida. The impact glass added additional weight to the doors, creating a safety issue when moving the doors around by hand. Signature contacted EMH to see how the process could be improved.

The solution was an AL System that used the VL-Lift with vacuum cups. This allowed the doors to be raised, transported, rotated and precisely positioned for easy attachment to the hinges of the frame. The system manipulates loads to 400 lbs. with a span of over 15 feet and a runway nearly 50 feet in length.

A similar, smaller lifting system was also designed to assist in the installation of glass panes into the door.

The AL system has increased productivity and provided a safer work environment for Signature Door. Contact EMH to find out how we can design a system to suit your needs.
